Ecessa technology was born with essential features like load balancing and automatic failover in 2002 and has evolved ever since to include the software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) and Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) functions our customers need to build a secure, Never Down® network. Ecessa models support bandwidth up to 20 Gbps.
A critical component of every Ecessa Never Down network is spreading traffic out to use all available bandwidth. This approach guides traffic down all available routes and divides the load evenly for faster connectivity.
Ecessa SD-WAN solutions are carrier agnostic and support any type of service from any provider. You can combine MPLS, broadband, DSL, cable, satellite, microwave, fixed wireless and cellular 5G/4G/LTE.
An integrated Authoritative DNS server can be used to load balance inbound services and provide automatic inbound failover. This is particularly useful for schools and businesses that host applications locally in their data centers.
AUTOMATIC FAILOVER AND FAILBACK
All Ecessa products provide automatic Failover and Failback between WAN connections with load balancing and traffic shaping to eliminate network congestion and deliver 100% availability of your critical applications.
Active/Active use of bandwidth and session load balancing means none of the links you pay for sit idle. Ecessa creates multi-homed networks of up to 25 WAN links to eliminate link congestion. It continually monitors each connection and uses intelligent outbound traffic management to load balance across all available WAN links.
QUALITY OF SERVICE (QoS)
Quality of Service (QoS) rules allow for prioritization of traffic types and various traffic routing options.

When it comes to orchestration, the Ecessa Insight Management Portal makes monitoring and managing all Ecessa devices in your network simple. Event reporting is also available with SNMP, NetFlow and remote Syslog.

Available in both enterprise grade appliances and virtual instances, Ecessa products can integrate into any network. High Availability (HA) is supported for hardware redundancy. Fail-to-wire and network bypass keep a data path open during unexpected interruptions, like power losses.
