Ecessa WAN link controllers are cost-effective network devices that create a virtual WAN environment that delivers affordable, reliable and optimized Internet connectivity. When compared to legacy WAN services such as Frame Relay and MPLS, WAN link controllers enable all types of network links (including broadband) to provide greater WAN reliability through redundancy, bandwidth cost savings by using low-cost links, and additional bandwidth by aggregating multiple active links. WAN link controllers use intelligent (session-based) link load balancing and failover over the Internet, and site-to-site channel bonding (packet-based), for real-time traffic engineering that leverages the bandwidth of multiple active links between two or more sites.
